Kaomi Lomi Lomi Wawae Foot Therapy

Traditional Hawaiian Massage

Not all Lomi Lomi are alike.  They differ from island to island, district to district, from Kumu (teacher), to Kumu and Ohana, (family) to Ohana.  The style offered at Zen Care is Kaomi omi. A deep tissue massage done with the thumbs, palms, and elbows.  It's intent is to realign the muscles, joints and tendons.  There is also a deep emphasis on relaxing the internal organs  and releasing foot blockages.

The Wawae (feet) are the junction box for the entire nervous system and the Opu (Stomach) is the central communication center. Both need physical tune ups and adjustments especially under stressful situations.

Soft tissue work ( the realm of "Aunty Margaret"  on the Big Island of Hawaii)  is ever so lightly emphasized in this form of Lomi Lomi. Kaomi Lomi lomi is for the hardy and not meant for a delicate, extra sensitive persona.
